I came across this in 2008 and it remains as one of my favourite references on cultural differences between the East and the West.

In her book Ost Trifft West (East Meets West), Yang Liu, a Chinese designer based in Germany illustrated the underlying differences between these two cultures the way she experienced it, in beautiful and simple graphics. While it features a few stereotypes, much of what she observed ring very true and captured a lot of the nuances. Here are a few of my personal favourites (screenshots from this link):
