Shooting Tiong Bahru Market

“Sure, go ahead and take as many pictures as you like. Lots of people come here to take photographs. How about this? Does the photo looks nice? Must print out and give me a copy okay?” - Friendly Fishmonger Uncle

Saturday morning, 8am.

My mum has a stall at Tiong Bahru market, yet I seldom visit. I surprised myself today by how much I enjoyed the visit and having visited her workplace. This is where she, and my dad when he was still around, spends a large part of their lives at. I took so much away from this shoot and am excited to begin documenting and learning more about the market, and what my family does for a living.
